BRIEF VERSION
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR TOURS AND PACKAGES
1.1 CANCELLATION FLEXIBILITY POLICY (CFP)
Understanding that unforeseen circumstances like flight cancellations, delays, pandemics, or other exceptional events can occur, we strive to maintain flexibility. If you cannot attend a tour due to such events, we will work closely with you and other agencies, if applicable, to develop a flexible plan for your travel packages and reschedule any day tours you have booked with us.
Refunds, if any, will be determined based on the nature of the cancellation. Please note that any refund will include a minimum charge of 10% to cover transactional fees incurred during the refund process.
1.2 PAYMENTS & PRICES
All Tours and Activities: Upon confirmation of your booking for any tour or activity, you can pay using Visa, MasterCard, *American Express, or bank wire (for packages or multi-day tours). Once the payment is processed, you will receive a secure payment link to complete the transaction, and the total amount for the tour will either be charged or made available for payment online.
Multi-Day Packages: Your travel agent will establish the payment methods and deadlines for securing the booking and the final payment. An additional fee will be applied to the final payment agreement unless the due amount is paid by wire transfer. Credit card processing fees, calculated based on the rates from our payment provider, may be included in the final payment. Should the processing fees remain unpaid, an extra cost will be levied to cover the total price and outstanding expenses.
Packages Including Overnights: For packages that include overnight stays as part of the program, an additional fee will be calculated for the guide's accommodation with breakfast. This accommodation must comply with the current labor union rules in Iceland, provide a private bathroom and breakfast, and be within a 5 km radius of the client's accommodation. The travel agent will communicate any exceptions.
*Credit card payment fees will be added at the time of the booking, and a card processing fee of 2.9% will be charged to Mastercard and Visa and 3.9% to American Express.
*Bank wire transfer has no additional fees and is recommended to avoid credit card fees.

1.7 CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE OFFERS & DISCOUNTS
-
Please be aware that our offer of a free tour during a volcanic eruption is specifically intended for current, confirmed bookings made before the date of the latest eruption. The free tour will only apply to the same area or location as the one originally booked.
-
If you have a reservation for the Fagradalsfjall Volcano Hike and an eruption occurs in the same vicinity, we can offer you a complimentary tour. However, the free tour may not be private, and we may invite other guests.
-
Suppose a new eruption occurs in a different area that demands additional travel time or poses challenging terrain. In that case, it will be categorized as a new tour and, therefore, cannot be combined with the free tour offer.
-
Further, the free tour does not apply to new eruptions located at a significant distance from the current Fagradalsfjall or those that require more than 3 hours of hiking time.
-
You will have the option to upgrade and pay a fee for a new active eruption tour.
-
We understand the excitement of witnessing a fresh eruption, and to accommodate this, we may offer special rates to those who wish to change their existing tour to align with a current eruption.
-
*The winter promo code (when available) is only valid for all tours booked from December to February. This offer cannot be combined with any other promotions and does not apply to travel packages.

Please note that our discount offers are not applicable on holidays and dates marked as "red days." These dates include December 24th, December 31st, January 1st, May 1st, and June 17th.
EXTENDED VERSION
1.8 THE BOOKING CONTRACT
A booking contract is established when you book tours online via our website or by emailing our travel agent. Please note that you must be 18 years old to make a booking. It's essential to provide complete, comprehensive, and accurate information to us, the Tour Operator. Any incorrect or incomplete data should be reported to us immediately.
1.9 BOOKING ON BEHALF OF OTHERS
When you book on behalf of other participants, we will deem you the designated contact person for all participants covered by that booking. We will also hold you liable for making all payments due to your Tour Book and informing the Tour Operator or your travel agent in the case of cancellations or any changes. By booking on behalf of another individual or individuals, you represent and guarantee that you have obtained all necessary consents. It is your responsibility to validate that any information you provide on behalf of another individual is thorough and precise. We will no longer be held liable for any mistakes or oversights in the information provided to complete a booking.
2. INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR BOOKING
The provision of all information requested by the Tour Operator is a non-negotiable condition of booking. All necessary information must be submitted during the booking or before the final payment. Should you neglect to supply information the Tour Operator requires for air tickets, permits, or other inclusions, you will bear responsibility for any costs, charges, or damages, including failure to obtain or provide that. We also reserve the right to treat your booking in such a case as canceled and impose any cancellation fees deemed sensible by the Tour Operator at our sole discretion.
The information required may vary by tour or service and will be conveyed to you or the Tour Operator’s authorized agent during the booking process. The Tour Operator is not responsible for any fees you incur due to blunders, oversights, errors, or late or otherwise incomplete information you provide.
2.1 COMPULSORY INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
We recommend being ADEQUATELY COVERED by your travel insurance (cardholder or home insurance) to use our services. Your insurance must specifically cover personal injury and emergency medical expenses, and we also recommend that you extend your coverage to cover curtailment, cancellation, and all other expenditures that may occur because of a loss, injury, damage, pandemics, delay, third-party liability, or any other inconvenience before or while traveling.
You acknowledge that any tour offered does not include special personal travel insurance coverage and that you must obtain separate coverage at an additional cost. You are responsible for ensuring adequate coverage and must conform to the terms of the appropriate insurance plans. You are responsible for advising your insurer of the type of travel, activities, and destination(s) included in your tour booking so that the insurer can provide appropriate coverage.
2.2 SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/REQUESTS
Travelers must disclose any special requirements to us when booking to use reasonable efforts to make provisions for such special needs or requests. You, however, understand and acknowledge that we may not always be able to make provisions for such special conditions or demands, given the nature of visited destinations and the availability of alternatives outside an arranged itinerary. If your mobility is limited, certain activities may be inaccessible to you.
You can disclose all dietary restrictions and food allergies at the booking, but we cannot guarantee that such nutritional needs and conditions can be accommodated. Any unique requests or requirements do not form part of this agreement between you and the Tour Operator, and we shall not be liable for any inability to oblige or satisfy such demands.
2.3 VALIDITY
All tours' dates, prices, and itineraries can be changed at any time, either online or through personal quotations. However, we will quote and confirm the current price when booking, subject to any supplements levied per this agreement.
2.4. PRICES, SURCHARGES, AND TAXES
By using our services, you agree that:
All prices are quoted in Euros, USD, or Icelandic Króna.
We may change and review the published price of the Tour and related products or services at any time, whether before or after booking confirmation, for up to 30 days before departure.
All tours are advertised and priced exclusively based on applicable sales taxes for tours or packages in Iceland, but they do not include transactional fees.
We may impose surcharges on any related products or services booked for reasons such as increases in fuel costs, transportation costs, taxes, or dues. We may also do so for fees for services like landing taxes or embarkation/disembarkation fees at ports, local operator costs, airport charges, increases in taxes, fluctuations in currency and exchange, or government action that influences the price of the relevant products or services.
We will notify you as soon as possible once it’s decided to impose a surcharge per this section.
In events when the price increase is greater than 10 percent of the original price of the related products or services (with the exclusion of add-ons, insurance, and taxes), you may either:
(a) Accept the change of price; or
(b) Cancel the applicable tour booking without incurring any penalty (transactional fees not included).
In such a case, you must notify the Tour Operator of your choice within two weeks of receiving the increase notice. We will deem you to have accepted the price change, and you will be liable for payment of the growth if you do not reply to the notice of the increase.
The Tour Operator may occasionally offer reduced pricing on some products or services. You understand that reduced pricing applies only to new bookings and that bookings with at least a deposit are not eligible for reduced pricing.
2.5 DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
For single-day tours in Iceland, full payment will be required at the time of the booking to confirm.
For packages in Iceland lasting longer than three days, 50 percent of the total payment is payable at the time of booking if such a booking is made eight weeks or more before departure. The remaining 50 percent must be paid two weeks before departure. We will confirm the total booking price when the first deposit is made but only confirm the complete booking after the second deposit.
If the booking is confirmed less than eight weeks before departure, the booking confirmation amount must be paid.
For packages to Cuba made with Kubuferdir, security deposits, and payments will be set on the travel webpage for each trip. A payment plan will be made after booking a credit card or direct bank transfer.
Unless expressly stated at the time of the booking and final quote and only for international payments will be added at the time of the booking, a card processing fee of 2.9% for Mastercard and Visa and 3.9% percent for American Express. Based on the quote, these fees can or cannot be included in the final payment. If the fees are not paid, we will offer an extra cost option to settle the total price and due fees.
For custom tours not listed online or part of a tailor-made package, a one-time fee will be added to the final payment agreement unless the due amount is paid by wire transfer.
For packages including overnight as part of the program, an extra fee will be added to the offer to cover the guide's accommodation with breakfast. This accommodation should comply with the labor union's current rules and provide a private bathroom and breakfast. The travel agent will notify in case of exceptions and resolve, when possible, any issues related to this particular.
2.6 FINAL PAYMENT/ACCEPTANCE OF BOOKING
The confirmation your travel agent or we sent will contain full details of the final payment required to satisfy any booking. You must pay the price balance for any related products or services and booked and custom-tailored products or services in Iceland at least two months before the departure date of the first product or service in the applicable booking. If we do not receive a full or partial deposit by the relevant due date, we may, at our sole discretion, change the rate payable for the booking or regard the booking as canceled and thus retain the deposit already paid on the booking as a cancellation fee.
10.1. If a booking is made less than two months before the takeoff date of the first product included in the applicable booking, the entire amount due must be paid at the time of booking. If payment terms differ from those outlined in this section for any product or service booked, we will communicate the applicable terms to you before booking.
10.2. The Tour Operator will not be liable for any charges imposed by third parties or financial institutions and payable by you due to credit card and other payment transactions. We will not refund or return any fees charged by third parties or financial institutions in connection with payments made by you to the Tour Operator.
2.7 DOMESTIC OR INTERNATIONAL AIRFARE
Unless expressly mentioned in the tour’s descriptions or package, tour prices other than packages from our website, Kúbuferðir, do not cover domestic or international flights or any additional airfare. While we will quote the best price possible for the travel dates requested or packages, you agree that the quotes provided are estimated only and are not a firm price commitment by us or the applicable air carrier(s).
We function only as an organizer of the final package or tours. Thus, the air carrier’s terms and conditions apply to purchasing and using the air travel ticket. For complete information (including applicable cancellation terms), you must consult the air carrier’s applicable terms and conditions of carriage. We are not responsible for changes and alterations in air itineraries or flight times and do not provide advice or alerts concerning air travel tickets, flight delays, or status
2.8 GUARANTEED DEPARTURES
Once the Tour Operator offers a departure date for a Tour, such date will become a guaranteed departure where at least one booking backed up by a valid deposit has been made on that departure.
Subject to reasonable itinerary changes described in this agreement or good faith, health, and safety concerns, the Tour Operator guarantees that all pre-arranged Tour departures booked and backed up with a valid deposit will depart as specified on the applicable confirmation. You, however, understand that this guarantee automatically becomes void in the case of Force Majeure.
To receive current and up-to-date tour and itinerary information, please get in touch with the Tour Operator.
2.9 TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
You agree that you are responsible for obtaining information and having all documentation and credentials required for travel, entry, and departure to countries or regions on our itinerary. This shall include a valid passport and all travel documents required by relevant governmental authorities (including but not limited to visas, permits, vaccination certificates, medical certificates, and insurance policies). Your passport must be valid for at least six months after the last travel date with the Tour Operator as set out on your itinerary.
Before the tour, you must obtain documents, visas, and permits. You are responsible for the total costs sustained for missing or defective documentation. You shall also bear full responsibility for any loss or expenditure conducted by the Tour Operator that arises from your failure to secure or to have proper travel documentation.
We do not provide advice on travel documents and make no warranties or representations regarding the precision or fullness of any information provided on visas, climate, vaccinations, clothing, baggage, or any special equipment. You agree that we are not responsible for any mistakes or omissions in this information.
3. FLEXIBILITY/UNUSED SERVICES
You acknowledge and agree that adventure travel, by its very nature, requires flexibility. You, therefore, agree to reasonable modifications to products, services, or itineraries by the Tour Operator. You agree that route, accommodations, activities, schedules, amenities, and mode of transport in Iceland, Cuba, or other destinations are subject to change without notice in case of unforeseeable circumstances or events outside the control of the 2Go Iceland (including but not restricted to “Force Majeure,” mechanical breakdown, illness, flight cancellations, political events, strikes, pandemics, and entry or border difficulties).
We will make no reimbursements, discounts, or refunds for missed or unused services after departure due to no fault of ours, including your removal from a Tour due to your negligence or breach of this agreement.
3.1 CHANGES
Changes made by the Tour Operator:
We may modify your itinerary where rationally required at our sole discretion. Suppose we make a change affecting at least one out of three full days of the itinerary or a change that materially affects the character of a product or service in its totality. In that case, we will provide you notice as soon as reasonably possible, with the provision that there is sufficient time to provide such notice before departure.
Itinerary changes may be necessary once a Tour has departed because of unforeseen circumstances, concerns for travelers’ health, enjoyment, safety, or other operational problems. Any changes are at the discretion of the Tour Operator. You acknowledge and agree that you have good financial resources to cover secondary expenses during your travel with the Tour Operator, whether or not such secondary costs occur due to the itinerary change. We are not liable for your inadequate preparation for the journey and unforeseen circumstances that may arise during travel. 2Go will not be liable for any indirect or significant losses related to any changes to a booking or itinerary.
Please note: All tours may be subject to modifications during winter based on the weather conditions or when additional stops are included. These adjustments are made at the company's sole discretion to ensure the best possible experience for our customers.
Changes made by you:
You agree that any changes to your name on any booking are subject to the Tour Operator’s approval. Changes to a booking depend on availability and are subject to the Tour Operator’s approval and this agreement. You will bear any extra costs incurred for making the change.
3.2 ACCEPTANCE OF RISK
You acknowledge and agree that our adventure travel and related products and services may significantly risk your health and safety. You believe that you have considered and weighed any potential risks to health and safety before traveling with the Tour Operator. You, therefore, assume all responsibility for all such risks and indemnify the Tour Operator from all claims and all causes of action that may arise from any losses, damages, or injuries, including death resulting from risks characteristic of travel, including adventure travel explicitly, visiting foreign destinations, and partaking in adventurous activities like those included in itineraries or otherwise offered by us.
You recognize that the degree and nature of personal hazards involved depend on the products or services booked and the geographic location(s) in which such a product or service operates. You also admit that a significant degree of personal risk may be involved in participating in physical activities, carriage by watercraft, travel to remote locations, travel to countries with developing infrastructure, and participation in “extreme sports” or other high-risk activities. You concede that as you have considered all potential risks, challenges, and dangers, as well as your capabilities and needs, you assume the risks associated with travel under such conditions.
You must comply strictly with all applicable laws and regulations of all destination countries and regions. If you fail to comply with applicable laws and commit any illegal activity during the tour or if, in our opinion, your behavior is causing or may likely cause danger, anguish, or material annoyance to other individuals, we may terminate your travel arrangements on any product or service with immediate effect at your expense and without any liability on our part. In such a case, you will not receive any refund for unused or missed services or costs incurred due to the termination of your travel arrangements, including, without limitation, return travel, accommodations, meals, and incidentals.
You are responsible for any expenses (including repair, replacement, and cleaning fees) incurred by 2Go or its suppliers for any property damage, destruction, or theft you cause while on a Tour. Upon discovery, you must immediately report any pre-existing damage to a Tour Operator representative and transportation or accommodation service staff as soon as possible.
You agree to take all practical measures as regards your safety while on tour, including, but not restricted to, the proper use of safety devices (with the inclusion of seatbelts, harnesses, helmets, and flotation devices) and obeying all posted signs as well as oral or written warnings as regards health and safety. Neither 2Go nor its Third Party Suppliers will bear liability for any loss or damage caused by your failure to obey safety instructions or warnings.
To provide the Tour Operator with an opportunity to address complaints adequately, you must forward any complaints to 2Go as soon as possible by informing your tour leader, another Tour Operator representative, or the Tour Operator’s customer service department. The Tour Operator will not be accountable for complaints not adequately brought to its attention and cannot attempt to resolve complaints until the provision of proper notice. Any complaint made after the conclusion of a Tour must be in writing and received by 2Go within 30 days of the last day of travel.
3.4 LIABILITY FOR THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS
We make arrangements as the organizer of tours or travel packages in Iceland and Cuba with third-party suppliers such as accommodation providers, airlines, activity providers, cruise lines, transfer operators, coach companies, tour and local guides, shore excursion operators, and other independent parties to provide you with all or some of the components of your tour booking.
These third-party suppliers may also use the services of subcontractors and local operators to carry out their contractual obligations. Although we take all reasonable care in selecting third-party suppliers, you recognize that we cannot control such third-party suppliers and do not supervise them. Therefore, we cannot be responsible or liable for their acts or omissions. Any services provided by third-party suppliers are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by these third-party suppliers. Their liability is limited by their tariffs, tickets, conditions of carriage, and vouchers and agreements that govern the provision of their services.
These may exclude or limit the liability of the Third Party Supplier. You acknowledge that Third-Party Suppliers operate in agreement with the appropriate laws of the countries in which they operate and that we do not warrant that any Third-Party Supplier is in harmony with the laws of your country of residence or any other jurisdiction.
THE TOUR OPERATOR IS NOT LIABLE AND WILL NOT BE IN ANY WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CLAIMS, DAMAGES, LOSSES, EXPENDITURES, OR EXPENSES ARISING OUT OF INCONVENIENCE, UPSET, LOSS OF ENJOYMENT, DISTRESS, DISAPPOINTMENT, OR FRUSTRATION, BE IT PHYSICAL OR MENTAL, ENSUING FROM THE ACT OR OMISSION OF ANY PARTY OTHER THAN THE TOUR OPERATOR AND ITS EMPLOYEES. THE TOUR OPERATOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS, WHETHER NEGLIGENT OR OTHERWISE, OF THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS OR ANY INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS.
3.5 OPTIONAL EXTRAS
By Optional Extras, we mean any activity, meal, transportation, product, or service not explicitly included in our Tour itinerary or price and does not constitute a part of the tour. You agree that any help rendered by the Tour Operator’s representative to arrange, select, or book any Optional Extras is at your request, and we make no warranties and expressly disclaim any liability arising from your participation in Optional Extras or any other information provided by any Tour Operator representative regarding any Optional Extras. You release 2Go from all claims and causes of action resulting from any damages, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, and injuries related to participation in or booking Optional Extras.
You acknowledge and agree that the third party providing that service or activity shall bear any liability for loss, death, damages, personal injury, emotional distress, illness, mental suffering, psychological harm, or loss of or damage to property associated with Optional Extras.
3.6 LIABILITY
The Tour Operator and its related websites, affiliates, and their respective employees, divisions, officers, managers, heirs, reps, and assigns shall not be held liable for:
Any loss of or damage to property or injury to and death of persons occasioned directly or indirectly through an act or omission of any other provider or third party supplier, with the inclusion of but not limited to any defect in any aircraft, watercraft, or vehicle operated or provided by such other provider; Any loss or damage occasioned by cancellation, delay, or disruption in any form caused by the regulations, laws, acts or failures to act, orders, demands, or interpositions of any government or any governmental subdivision or agent thereof, or by acts of God, fire, strikes, flood, rebellion, war, terrorism, insurrection, illness, epidemics, quarantine, theft, or any other cause beyond 2Go’s control. You waive any claim against us for loss, injury, damage, or death.
If any loss, illness, injury, or death is caused by the negligent acts or omissions of 2Go or of the Third Party Suppliers of any services that form a part of the booking contract, then 2Go limits its liability, where applicable, by all applicable international conventions.
3.7 FORCE MAJEURE
The Tour Operator will not bear liability for or be answerable in any way for bodily injury, illness, death, delay, damage, or other loss to individuals or property, for financial costs incurred both directly and indirectly, or for our failure to begin, perform or complete any duty owed to you if such illness, death, delay, damage(including emotional distress and injury), or other loss to individuals or property, mechanical breakdowns, war or warlike operations, civil commotions, terrorist activities or threat thereof, labor difficulties, political disturbance, country lockdown, bio-threats, pandemic, epidemic and outbreak, interference by authorities, insurrection and government restraint, riot, extreme weather, fire, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of 2Go; or an event which 2Go or the Third Party Supplier of services, even with all proper care, could not foresee any of which, individually and collectively, constitute “Force Majeure.”
3.8 IMAGES AND MARKETING
As a result of this consent, you agree that the Tour Operator, its agents, representatives, or other tour participants may capture images, photos, or videos that include your likeness. Currently, you grant to us, our contractors, and sub-contractors an unending, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform such images, photos, or videos. Such use may include but is not limited to, marketing, promotions, and creating promotional materials, either directly or in conjunction with our sub-licensees. The provision of this license is without expectation or requirement of further remuneration or compensation payable to you.
3.9 PRIVACY POLICY
To deliver the tour and any products or services booked, 2Go must collect your personal information. We collect, use, and disclose only the information that is reasonably required to enable third-party suppliers and us to provide your requested tour, products, and services. By submitting personal information to us, you indicate your acceptance of our Privacy Policy. See reference: https://www.2goiceland.com/privacy-policy.
4. AMENDMENTS
The Tour Operator reserves the right to alter or update this agreement at any time and will post the updated terms on the website. You may access a current copy of this agreement, as amended, at any time on our website. We may also send one to you upon written request. You have accepted any amendments to this agreement on the date.
All information on our website/domains is subject to change. Go ehf., 2Go Iceland Travel and Kúbuferðir reserve the right to alter/change/correct mistakes that may appear on the website during updates or changes.
